CLEVELAND - Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation honored its best suppliers at its second annual Supplier Awards Program on March 28 at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel.  The event recognized 50 companies as Premier Suppliers. From that group, 12 received highest honors as the company’s Supplier Excellence Award winners.

One of the 12 receiving highest honors was Hansens Engineering, headquartered in South Africa. Hansens supplies machined flanges to Eaton and was recognized in 2006 as a Premier Supplier. This year, the company became a Supplier Excellence Award winner, receiving recognition for zero defects per million, 100 percent on-time delivery, customer focus, year-over-year price reductions and other achievements.

Richard B. Jacobs, Eaton’s vice president–Supply Chain Management, said, “We have thousands of suppliers, and we evaluate them on quality, productivity, innovation and technology. The companies we are honoring with these awards excel in these critical categories.”

“These suppliers are the very best in our global supply base,” Jacobs said.  “They make a real contribution to the continuing success of our business.”
